21: Would You Mind Telling Me What is Going On? - Will Foskey
My guest today is the hilarious comic, Will Foskey (@WTFoskey). Will has been doing stand-up comedy for a few years now and he has directly worked with a ton of really talented people including: DC Young Fly (@dcyoungfly)who is on MTV's Wild'n Out, Emmanuel and Philip Hudson (@emanhudson & @lantbo) and many more. Combined, those three guys have 7 million followers on Instagram so obviously Will is doing something right. Will and I have a few mutual friends and he reached out to me to be on the podcast. At first, I was a little bit hesitant to do the podcast since I had never met this guy before, but I thought, okay I'll give this guy a chance. If he's funny I'll have him on. So I found a clip on Youtube from one of his stand up comedy shows to see if he sucked. He obviously did NOT suck, and I was cracking up the whole time. I messaged him back and told him I was totally down.
On this episode Will and I talked about his upbringing and how it shaped him into being a comic, his intro into the world of comedy and the racial segregation that still exists in the comedy world, some stories of him totally bombing onstage, and his stories of hanging out with T.I. Needless to say, this was one of the funniest podcasts I have done so far, and it was super fun getting to know Will.
