15: The Experiment That Went Right - Austin Distel

My guest today is my friend Austin Distel. He is a tech entrepreneur, travel hacker, digital marketer, and much more. Austin lives in Annapolis, Maryland, and he was in town for a couple of days so I was super excited to be able to carve out a podcast.

Austin and I have known each other for a few years now, and from the day I met him I knew he was special. He has always been someone who gets shit done. He's constantly moving and pouring all of his energy into whatever business or project that he's currently working on. He started his first business when he was 12 and ended up selling that company 10 years later. A couple of years ago, he was a finalist in the Choose ATL Ultimate Job Interview Contest. It was kind of like a mini version of shark tank, but he ended up winning 1st place and the grand prize of $10,000 for his pitch about his company Bravado Branding. His current project is called the Entrepreneur Alliance: A global club for entrepreneurs that supplies the trainings, resources and connections to building an amazing business. This was one of the shorter episodes that I have done, but we got into some really awesome stuff in this podcast. Austin told some phenomenal stories like: How his upbringing groomed him into being an entrepreneur, when he got arrested, quitting a team that he swore he would never quit, and some practical advice for people starting their own business.

If you want to follow Austin you can find him on Instagram, Facebook, and his website, AustinDistel.com.
